The company was a sensation during the period of covid-19 and inspired clones in other social networks
Clubhouse , the audio-only chat room app that attracted the likes of Bill Gates and Elon Musk to join in the early months of 2021, has announced the layoff of more than half of its employees.
According to The Verge website , the company’s co-founders, Paul Davison and Rohan Seth, claim that the reorganization is necessary for internal communication and changes to happen more quickly and efficiently.
According to Davison and Seth, the difficulty of coordinating teams and the underutilization of creative employees led to the decision Clubhouse .
While the company has raised $300 million in investment at a valuation of $4 billion, the co-founders believe that a smaller, more product-focused team will help it more quickly develop the next evolution of the social network Clubhouse .
