Uber launches function for drivers to perform extra activities for users
Available, by the hour, in Curitiba, it will be possible to hire the app’s partners to do tasks such as picking up orders from a store or collecting documents, for example.
Uber started testing a new modality in Curitiba this Monday, the 13th: with Uber Resolve, users will be able to request that the app’s partners perform extra activities related to displacement and for a certain period.
Some examples of tasks that can be solved are picking up orders at a store or collecting a signature.
However, the new modality has some characteristics when it comes to charging for the service.
One is that it will have time and mileage limits. For example: it will be possible to hire the service for one hour and 40 km from the person’s location.
It is also worth mentioning that if the activity exceeds any of the two billing factors, the user will have to pay the excess amount.
On the other hand, if the trip lasts less than what was contracted, the total amount agreed will still be charged.
How to use Uber Resolve
- First, open the Uber app on your mobile device;
- Tap the “Sends” tab;
- Select “Sends by period”;
- Then set the task time;
- Add the pickup address and destination;
- If you want, you can modify and add stops along the way;
- Finally, tap the “Choose Resolve” button.
